Black and White (and Grey)
This black shift dress from Gap caught my attention.

But I can feel the spouse rolling his eyes at it. I can feel it in my bones. I don't know why.

Before the baby shift dresses came, there were these from my ebay addiction days:

I didn't know they were capable of pro-creating. Probably doing it in the corners of the wardrobe.

For The Mommies of Boys
Friends who have baby boys sometimes tell me how lucky I am to be able to play dress-up on my girls (although I don't deliberately do that for the sake of playing dress-up cos realistically, it'd be expensive). But I sometimes have a mental picture of what my sons would wear if I were to have boys.
These would be he images that'll inspire me. They'll wear their hair floppy with chuck taylors and tops that are a tad size smaller too snug.

Mommies, you're so lucky to have boys.

Jalan Raya
The bigger reason why I don't take that many photos of Pumpkin is because she's always sleeping. Which I'm truly grateful for, syukur alhamdulillah, that she's been sleeping through the night since three weeks old, pretty much the opposite of Munches both in behaviour and ermm.. size (just look at her).

Munchkin, now approaching 3, is still waking up at night, ok?

Evening Clutches
I always look forward to Matriarch's return from her small 'income-generating' trips not only cos it puts an end to my worrying about her safety but also because I get to check out 1st hand what she has in store. Especially as I get older, the items have become of more relevance.
She's got these in the sack from her recent trip.

Another Kind of Addiction
I was spring-cleaning the girls' drawer and realised..

This sick obsession needs to stop. I'm contemplating on whether I should sell a couple of unworn tights or keep as a collection.
I prefer Munchkin in knee-highs now though I still love them tights. I'm mod at heart.

Welcoming our Smallest Chuck Taylor.
Thank you, Fil and Man. For the new addition to the family's crazy collection of chuckies. Precious.

Babywearing
I used to not like the look of slinging a baby until my forum friends swore by it. Munchkin was a demanding baby, constantly wanting to be carried so I tried my first Moms In Mind sateen sling and I too, swore by it since. I got so attracted to the plain black (a fan of The Cure needs to own a plain black of everything right?) Hotsling and I loved the fact that there wasn't any ring for adjustment and no excess cloth.

Photo taken around Dec 2006
I've recently been looking at all kinds of babywearing products and am contemplating on purchasing. Some of them are pretty pricey. Here's a little directory of links if
you're interested:
Moms In Minds Slings and Pouches (local site) - The sateen sling I have is too comfy!

Littlepods (Malaysian site) - For those who prefer without prints (like me). You can get them plain in almost every color!

Hotslings (US site) - Gorgeous prints but this was where I got my plain black from cos I didn't see it anywhere else at that time.

Milky Way (local site) - Nice prints too. They've got less floral designs which are suitable for men.

Pupsik (local site) - By a pretty and hip mommy. The material description is beyond temptation> "Made from cotton stretch sateen so smooth and silky, you've got to feel it to believe it!"

Peanut Shell Pouches/Slings and Wraps (US site) - Check out the Girly Skull Baby wrap. Rockstar essential.

EllaRoo (US site ) - The ella roo wraps look like shawls. An absolute test on my weakness for stripes.

Moby Wrap (US site) - Hello to plain in every color again!

Hug-a-Bub (Australian site) - Wraps with an attached pocket! I doubt you'll use other carriers once you've got one of these.

Mama Kangaroo (Canadian site) - All kinds of carrier with plain and graphical designs.
Firefly (US site) - EllaRoo, Hug-a-Bub, Maya Wrap, TaylorMade, Moby and Ergo all on one site. And they accept Paypal.

Ditanny Baby (US site) - Love the prints too.

Unintentional Dad's Day Dinner

Unintentional because it was supposed to be a birthday dinner but it fell on Dad's Day. Plus it was partially my brother's (who has been a dad for almost 11 years) treat so it turned out more of a Dad's Day Dinner at the Carousel. Matriarch had always suggested dinner there but it is constantly fully-booked so we managed to do a way advanced booking for last Sunday.

My brother the Midnight Hero (he only sleeps in the day) with Munchkin and my niece.

Me as the dugong. I've lost my collar bones and jawline. We'll work something out later.

Tights Galore
Munchkin in black microfibre tights

Evident in these photos is obviously not Munchkin's but my obsession with tights even before she was born (online spree-ing while she's in the tummy). Since "Tights" has recently been a favourite subject lately with fau and a couple other companions, I shall give a bit of pointers on purchasing them.
I've seen them being sold for $19 a pair, which I find rather unkind to the (or at least my) pocket as I had gotten none of these for more than $USD7. Especially if they're 'microfibre' kinds (a little like pantyhose material). They fur after one wear (you can see closely in the photo above) and are real enemies with velcro, sequins (as according to fau) and anything alike. Pointelle ones below (sorry the photo is not clear) are much better in quality and you can see subtle patterns when worn. Cotton and rib knits also last much longer but a bit too warm for our weather if you're going outdoors a lot. But in any case, if you wish to get them for less than $19, I can help.

Evil Like Drugs

Kitschy things like this I cannot resist. One glance you see it priced at 2.50 but before you know it, you've piled up over ten dollars worth of hairclips at the payment counter. I should stay away from accessory shops like Montip. That's Munchkin's head, by the way. She's the one who needs the hairclips.
